We believe that God made us in His image and that image includes living life in community.
At Eastside, the best thing we can do for you is to help you live in community in what we call a Life Group. In a Life Group, you will meet people that are on a spiritual journey, just like you are. You will spend time, typically every other week, sharing a meal, reading the Bible, praying, and living life together.
But most of all, you will have people around you when life is hard so you can have support, and when life is good so you can celebrate.
WE HAVE BEEN BUILDING COMMUNITY FOR 30 YEARS
BUT WE KNOW IT CAN FEEL LONELY SOMETIMES.
We know the feelings of isolation and loneliness can hold anyone back. But in a loving and accepting community, we have found the support and space to move forward.
We often say, “It’s okay to not be okay.” By that we mean, you don’t have to be perfect or have it all together to come to Eastside. You don’t have to put on a mask or pretend your life is great to show up.
And we also say, “While it is okay to not be okay, it is not okay to stay that way.” And by that we mean, we want to help you on your spiritual journey find the real and lasting answers to life.
And that is what we have been doing for over 30 years. Every year we do it a little better. Every year we help more people. Every year each of us gets a little stronger. That is the power of a faith community.
Here is how it works
STEP 1
SEND US A TEXT MESSAGE: Are you ready? Then just click this button and give us your mobile number and we will reach back out and help you find a group.
STEP 2
SHOW AT A GROUP: After we help you find a group, the leader of the Life Group will reach out to you and coordinate your first visit.
STEP 3
STAY CONNECTED: What if you find out that the Life Group you chose is not for you? Don’t worry. If that group doesn’t work for you, it’s okay. We have lots and lots of groups and everyone wants you to find a group that you feel great about.
A message from Carla
My husband, Brad, and I have been a part of Eastside since before we were married. We have been a part of countless Life Groups as participants, leaders, and now I have the privilege to lead this area of our church.
You may have tried a small group at another church, or heard about church small groups before, and you may be thinking that a Life Group is just not for you.
But in my 15 years of ministry at Eastside, I have heard skeptics, introverts, people hurt by other churches, and every other kind of reason to not join a Life Group. And then those people just try it. They showed at a Life Group and they realize this is something everyone needs.
We all need friends, people who can help us, and people we can help…all gathered to share life and share their spiritual journey.
